In a recent poll, Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha is closing up on leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra for popularity in Bangkok.
Super Poll conducted the study on February 17-18, with 1,571 respondents.
Political newcomer Paetongtarn earned 28.5% of the vote, while the premier received 25.7%. This represents a shift from earlier surveys conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration since September, in which Gen Prayut received less than half of Paetongtarn’s support.
According to a Super Poll poll, Gen Prayut was chosen by one-third of those polled in Bangkok, while Paetongtarn was chosen by 21.3%.
