A senior military officer is under investigation after a video surfaced on June 10, showing him threatening police officers and a woman. The officer, reportedly identified as a lieutenant general, can be heard in the video claiming, “Do you know who I am?” and threatening to transfer the entire police station staff.
The incident began when the lieutenant general reversed his vehicle towards a woman, nearly causing an accident. Following this, he engaged in a heated exchange with police officers at the scene, insisting he was a doctor with many patients waiting and using his rank to intimidate the officers, threatening to reassign every officer at the station.
The confrontation continued at the police station, where the officer maintained his aggressive stance and denied any wrongdoing. The army headquarters swiftly responded to the incident. Deputy Army spokesperson Richcha Suksuwan clarified that the officer does not belong to the army headquarters but is associated with the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence, which launched an investigation into the matter.
