The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced a series of train trips scheduled for July and August 2024, offering both overnight and one-day journeys. The program includes six routes, providing travelers with an opportunity to explore various destinations across Thailand during these two months.
In July, the program features four overnight trips utilizing the KiHa, a refurbished Japanese train. The planned routes are as follows:
- Bangkok to Ratchaburi from July 6 to 7, 2024.
- Bangkok to Suan Son Pradipat Beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan from July 13 to 14, 2024.
- Bangkok to Suphanburi from July 20 to 21, 2024.
- Bangkok to Prachinburi from July 27 to 28, 2024.
For August, the SRT has arranged two one-day trips:
- Bangkok to Chachoengsao on August 12, 2024, featuring a special steam locomotive.
- Bangkok to Kanchanaburi on August 17, 2024, aboard the Royal Blossom train, which consists of second-hand trains refurbished from the Hokkaido Railway Company in Japan.
