Last Sunday Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, accompanied by Mr. Sanon Wangsangboon, Deputy Governor and Ms. Suntree Serensuksamrit, Deputy Director of the Office of Culture, Sports and Tourism, joined the public to listen to the concerts in the garden of Rommaninat Park, Phra Nakhon district. This event was made possible by the participation of various artists such as Nil and Pang, music for the visually impaired, the Nong Wut group, Down syndrome children. M and friends CU Band, International Music Club of Chulalongkorn University and Dr. Suchart Wongthong Painting Club, an international artist who transforms music into painting.
This was an event under the “Bangkok Music and Performing Arts Zone” policy, which is one of 216 policies to encourage music and performing arts shows through free outdoor events. This policy also aims to encourage artists to express themselves by having a space to exhibit their works, which contributes to the happiness of people and boost tourism.
On this occasion, the deputy governor of Bangkok told the audience that this was the fifth consecutive week that concerts were held in Rommaninat Park, and that July will continue with more cultural events. There will be films shown in the middle of Bangkok. No less than 25 stories will be presented at the film festival which is one of the 12 events of Bangkok that will be held from Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the district hall of Phra Nakhon in the presence of artists and actors participating in the activities, such as Bird Ka Hart Tik-Jesadaporn, etc.
The first film to be released is the story of 2499 gangsters who rule a city, the promotion of this event will be done through Facebook where will be specified the schedule of screening films. But we can already say that there will be film screenings every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sundays, there will also be musical events like the one that took place in Rommaninat Park.
Deputy Governor Sanon added, “I think the city can finally come back to life, because more people are coming out to relax in public spaces, thank you very much to everyone.
