“The BMA has the policy to create quality areas of study to increase quality learning spaces for children and young people. The city we are building today is for a new generation of young children who will be the masters of this city in the future,” Bangkok Governor Chatchat Sittipunt said at the “Bangkok is doing good…at Thonburi” event at Bangkhunnon Park.
Mr Chardcart said future education might not be as important as authentic practical learning. Because education is based on curriculum, but the real world changes quickly. Children and young people must learn to behave in society, which is essential for their future. Next, the Bangkok city government will open the school area as a learning centre; from Monday to Friday, it will be expanded to Saturday and Sunday, providing a learning area for the public around the clock. The stakeholders of Bangkhunnon Gardens are the neighbourhood’s people, and the BMA is only responsible for the management. Therefore, the area must be open for people to use. For a city to grow, it must be united and connected; that is, the public sector, the private sector, the academic sector and the community must all work together. .We may have different opinions, but even different positions also have many common goals; we should work together in unity, don’t mind and care about each other’s ramifications, and must allow citizens in the community to participate. We all need to work together and make the city better.
