The Interior Ministry conducts a narcotics crackdown

In an effort to promote ethical behavior across government departments, the Ministry of the Interior has begun an anti-drug campaign for public servants. Any law enforcement official implicated in a narcotics case will be subject to legal action as well as severe disciplinary measures.

As part of its “cleanup before crackdown” strategy, the Ministry of the Interior has initiated a “home clean-up program” to combat drug participation.

This initiative seeks to eradicate drug usage amongst all governmental employees. As a result, the government has decided to launch a nationwide initiative to reduce drug abuse.

The Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of the Interior, Suttipong Juljarern, has stated that this campaign is proof that the ministry is dedicated to the fight against drugs and to helping those who are addicted to become clean.

The government has ordered all agencies involved in the Re-X-Ray operation to halt their drug usage prevention efforts by the end of the month. Every time an arrest is made in the drug trade, a fresh investigation is launched.

With the hope of assisting addicts in their quest for recovery and returning them to productive lives free of relapse, the federal government has mandated that each province guarantee that it has adequate facilities and personnel to serve addicts seeking treatment.

Damrongtham Center’s 24-hour tip line, which is accessible via the national number 1567, is only one of several channels through which the public is encouraged to provide information about illegal drug activity.
