The Thai competitors in the 46th WorldSkills Competition have returned home with medals and certificates of achievement. The minister of labor presented plaques to groups that had helped the returnees and expressed their gratitude.
Thai workers who competed in the 46th WorldSkills event, officially titled the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition, have been commended by Labor Minister Suchart Chomklin. The Thai contingent brought home two medals of excellence: a silver in the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) (Turning) category and six in the CNC (Milling) field. In the areas of mechanics, health care, social work, video game art in three dimensions, culinary arts, and hospitality, medals of excellence were also awarded.
Mr. Suchart said the honors showed Thailand’s ability and willingness to produce people whose quality reaches the global level. With more skilled people, Thailand will be able to generate more economic value by competing in WorldSkills. Improving the abilities of the Thai labor force will have a positive impact on the country’s ability to compete internationally. Participants from all over the world come to the WorldSkills contests to showcase their talents and perhaps leave with a deeper understanding of and respect for one other’s cultures. International collaboration on the improvement of workforce skills might profit from this in the future.
The minister of labor emphasized the importance of gaining international experience and urged the Thai participants to apply what they learn to further develop their professional abilities. He also thanked the several organizations that had helped the trainees out by providing facilities and financial aid.
The 62 categories of competition in the WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition were spread across 15 nations. Due to the epidemic that wiped out most of the world in May of 2022, WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 was canceled and the event was rescheduled as a “special edition” in 2022. More than a thousand athletes from all corners of the globe showed off their abilities in this competition.
