Rocket Debris from China Has No Effect on Thailand

The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) has told the Thai government that there is a very minimal risk that falling debris from China’s Long March 5B-Y4 rocket would penetrate Thai territory or disrupt the aviation industry in the Kingdom of Thailand.

On Friday, November 4th, GISTDA released the most recent information available on falling fragments from the Chinese Long March 5B-Y4 rocket.

There was hope that some of the debris might return to Earth unscathed after being exposed to temperatures of 2,600 degrees Fahrenheit in the atmosphere.

Phang Nga, Ranong, Chumphon, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Sa Kaeo, Surin, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani were among the provinces in Thailand that were overflown by the debris early on Friday morning, between 4:02 and 4:05.
