Muslims in Thailand applaud the warming of ties with Saudi Arabia

Thai-Muslims now have better access to jobs overseas because to improved relationships between Thailand and Saudi Arabia.

A prominent member of the Thai-Muslim community in Nonthaburi has expressed gratitude to the Thai government for its efforts in reestablishing diplomatic ties with Saudi Arabia.

According to Mr. Meesak Itthitanakulchai, President of the Lahan Subdistrict Administration Organization in Nonthaburi, improved ties between Thailand and Saudi Arabia make it easier for Thai Muslims to go to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.

He is grateful to the Prime Minister and the administration for their fair treatment of all religions in the country.

Mr. Meesak made this comment at a Muslim community event in Nonthaburi’s Nurulhidayah Mosque, where the opening ceremony was presided over by Minister of Labor Suchart Chomklin.

Funds raised through the tea ceremony and sales of regional handicrafts will go toward the renovation of the mosque and the provision of religious instruction to the local populace.

According to the Minister of Labor, this event represents the government’s objective to encourage people to become active members of their communities and strengthen their local economies.

He promised funding from the Ministry of Labor for a new mosque and emphasized that the government agency values religious education.

Mr. Meesak expressed gratitude to the Minister of Labor and other authorities whose backing will enable the transformation of this mosque into a cultural and educational hub for the neighborhood.
