In preparation for this week’s APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, the minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office has reiterated Thailand’s willingness to host the summit. Furthermore, he concurred that showcasing Thai culture during APEC 2022 will benefit the Thai economy in both direct and indirect ways.
Minister Anucha Nakasai, a member of the Prime Minister’s Office, stopped by the press room on the LG level of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. Journalists covering the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week are using the center.
Mr. Anucha met with the director-general of the Public Relations Department, as well as officials from MCOT Plc. and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, to discuss media relations for APEC. The minister was updated on the PR team’s efforts to promote APEC 2022. Furthermore, he was briefed on the media center’s layout and operations.
Press offices, a large news conference room, and two smaller briefing rooms may all be found within the facility. Guests can help themselves to drinks at the dining room’s beverage station. There is a news agency operations area, sometimes known as a media booth, an international broadcaster operations area, and a host broadcaster operations area.
For the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in 2022, the Mass Communication Organization of Thailand (MCOT) will serve as the broadcaster. It broadcasts the APEC conferences and meetings in audio, video, and visual formats.
Mr. Anucha expressed satisfaction that preparations for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting were progressing smoothly.
He continued by saying that their work will make a positive impact and represent Thailand internationally. Valueable economic benefits, both immediate and downstream, would arise from this.
After that, he met with reporters from Thai and other media outlets covering APEC events at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
