Campaign with BCG Gets Prolonged For Six Months

At their weekly meeting, Cabinet members authorized a six-month extension of the government’s post-pandemic recovery program under the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economic model.

The original deadline for the campaign was September 30 of this year, but thanks to this extension, qualifying community companies and local manufacturers now have until March 31 of next year to receive funding for the initiative.

It was recently announced by Deputy Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek that no further funds will be made available for the campaign. Additionally, she disclosed that as of September 10th, only 2.7 billion baht (75.76%) of the total 3.57 billion baht budget had been spent.

To far, the campaign has funded 64,428 projects around the country, or 94.26% of its original goal.

The current BCG push will be on fostering long-term growth, aiding in its promotion, and delivering tangible outcomes.

To help bring over 7,500 local initiatives one step closer to commercialization, the campaign will also contribute to the creation of a new platform to push cutting-edge scientific and technical advancements.

As the campaign unfolds, it will be monitored through a series of assessments.
