For car lovers, December just got more exciting. The Motor Expo 2022 has begun, and the spotlight this year will be on the many electric vehicle (EV) options from various companies.
In keeping with the theme of this year’s Motor Expo, electric cars will be unveiled and made available to the public “Currently, Time Is Appropriate. Learn from the Future by Feeling the Present.” There are seventeen motorbike manufacturers from eight different nations and thirty-five automobile manufacturers from ten different countries. The variety of available EVs this year has been expanded. There may be as many as fifteen brand-new models introduced during the show.
Audi’s “e-Rickshaw,” modeled after the ubiquitous Tuk Tuks of Thailand, is one of the show’s most intriguing exhibits. Used batteries from Audi e-tron electric vehicles serve as the vehicle’s power source. The undercarriage and frame were from a Tuk Tuk that had been in operation for 30 years in Thailand.
They anticipate 37,000 orders for automobiles and 5,000 orders for motorcycles as a result of the show. If this happens, sales will increase by 15–20% over the previous year. The estimated amount of currency exchanged during the fair is between 45 and 50 billion baht. This would be a boon for the Thai car sector, which is already seeing a significant uptick in production thanks to the accessibility of microchips, but could need some more revitalization.
The public is welcome to attend Motor Expo 2022 from December 1st through the 12th. Challenger Hall at the Impact exhibition and conference center in Mueang Thong Thani is the site of the event.
