A close eye must be kept on XBC “Deltacron” under the Health Minister’s order

Since the first incidence of the XBC “Deltacron” hybrid version of the COVID-19 virus was found in Thailand, people there have been worried about the spread of the virus. According to experts, the hybrid does not appear to cause more severe symptoms, but it is more easily transferred. The health ministry is keeping a close eye on numerous coronavirus strains and stressing the need of getting a booster vaccination.

During a meeting with public health ministry officials, Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul underlined the issue. He said the government has a system in place to deal with COVID-19 now, so it will continue to be considered a “communicable illness under monitoring.” If the severity of COVID-19 remains the same, we will continue using the same name and response procedures. According to Mr. Anutin, no mutations that may cause the illness to progress have been discovered.

However, the Ministry of Health will keep pushing for everyone to receive all four doses. The intensity of COVID’s symptoms would be lessened as a result of this.

Mr. Anutin also spoke to Deputy Public Health Minister Sathit Pitutecha, who has COVID-19. He called his deputy and was told that all he had was a sore throat and a cough, he added. Mr. Sathit has had four vaccinations thus far. However, the doctor decided to enter him since his blood oxygen level was below 95, so he was given medical treatment.

Mr. Anutin has stated that his deputy would require four to five days off to recover. Mr. Sathit was a personal friend, and he intended to pay a personal visit to the hospital.
