“Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations” will commemorate the 10 million tourist milestone for 2022

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is hosting the “Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations” to commemorate this year’s visitor arrivals until December 10, surpassing the 10 million mark. On December 10, welcome celebrations will be organized at seven airports and two border checkpoints to express gratitude and appreciation to all visitors for their trust in Thailand as a holiday destination.

According to the Immigration Bureau, Thailand had around 9.78 million international tourist arrivals between January 1 and December 5, 2022. On December 10, 2022, the number of visitors is predicted to hit 10 million.

Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said “Reaching the 10 million visitor mark so soon after Thailand fully reopened to international tourism on 1 October, 2022, is the result of concerted efforts by all involved in the Thai tourism industry and all Thai people nationwide. As such, we give our sincerest thanks and appreciation to all tourists who have visited us this year.”

Seven major international and regional airports in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang), Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, U-Tapao, and Samui, as well as two border checkpoints in Sadao and Nong Khai, will participate in the “Amazing Thailand 10 Million Celebrations” on this date to greet arriving tourists.

One lucky visitor arriving at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport will get an unique surprise.

TAT’s promotion of Thailand as a prime vacation spot in potential visitor markets has not slowed down.

The “Visit Thailand Year 2022-2023: Amazing New Chapters” campaign has been the focal point of marketing and promotion, and it encourages tourists to explore the numerous new and exciting tourist attractions around the country.

Promoting Thailand’s food, movies, fashion, fights, and festivals—all pillars of the country’s “soft power”—is a top priority for tourists. Kingdom visitors may find a wide variety of wildlife to preserve, cuisine to try, and Thai culture to learn about.
