Thai Esports Crew Takes First Place at Regionals

The Thai national team has won a regional esports competition for the multiplayer game Valorant, developed by Riot Games.

The Thai team Made in Thailand (MiTH) won the AfreecaTV Valorant SEA Invitational after defeating the Indonesian team Bigetron Arctic 3-0 in the finals.

An outstanding performance saw Thailand seek revenge for a 1-0 setback to eventual champions Bigetron Arctic in the group round.

MiTH were unbeatable in the playoffs, winning their first seven matches by a combined score of 21-0. They advanced beyond the quarterfinals by eliminating FW Esports and the semifinals by eliminating BOOM Esports.

Nantapol “Kongared” Boonying won Most Valuable Player for his performance in the last match, racking up 54 kills across three maps and a 242 ACS to take the series.

The winner of the AfreecaTV Valorant SEA Invitational, Made in Thailand, received $7,500 (out of a total US$25,000 prize fund).

By beating teams like Bleed eSports and RRQ from the Pacific League, this squad has established themselves as one to keep an eye on in the next Challengers League season.
