A Thai man revealed that he participated in a weird ceremony led by a young cult leader, which involved a ritual performed on his penis. The ritual, held three months ago, was promised to enhance charm, luck, and wealth. However, the man admitted he has not experienced any positive effects so far.
The man shared his story on Red Skull X, formerly Twitter, and disclosed the young cult leader’s name, requesting it remain private. Initially believing in the cult leader’s power, the man lost faith after encountering negative news about him and feeling disappointed by the ritual’s lack of success.
He shared images on Red Skull X showing penises covered with masks, which are typically worn by performers in Thai traditional dance and drama known as Khon. Each mask represents characters from the Ramakien epic. The man revealed that the young cult leader and his father charged 399 baht per participant for the ritual.
In an interview with Channel 7, the man explained that the ritual involved participants removing their trousers, having their private parts covered with masks, and the cult leader briefly placing his mouth over their penis. The entire ceremony lasted less than 10 minutes and did not involve chanting or offerings.
This unusual ritual bears a resemblance to a traditional ceremony among Khon performers and other Thai artists, which symbolizes acceptance as a student by respected teachers, artists, or musicians. Traditionally, the mask covers the participant’s head, not their private parts.
The ceremony has drawn sharp criticism from Thai netizens, especially from members of the Khon and traditional performance communities, who accuse the young cult leader and his family of disrespecting cultural practices.
Currently, there are no reports indicating that the ritual violates any laws, and authorities have not yet initiated an investigation into the matter. Several officials and individuals have expressed interest in the incident, highlighting the growing curiosity surrounding such unconventional practices.
