At approximately 2:06 a.m., CCTV footage captured a white Ferrari F8 Tributo slamming into the rear of a bronze-silver Mercedes-Benz C220 on Borommaratchachonnani Road. The force of the crash caused both vehicles to spin uncontrollably. In the chaos, the Ferrari collided with a Toyota pickup truck in the middle lane, flipping it over.
Seconds later, the luxury cars caught fire, igniting a blaze that drew swift response from firefighters and emergency teams. It took responders around 20 minutes to extinguish the flames, but by then the Ferrari had been reduced to a charred skeleton.

Both the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers exited their vehicles and reportedly assisted the pickup driver before quietly leaving the scene. Police later identified the Mercedes driver as 29-year-old Thanawut, a department store manager, who was treated at Ratchapipat Hospital. The Ferrari driver, 21-year-old Treeran, suffered only minor injuries and refused hospitalization.
Police Lt. Col. Apiwat Sinpru of Thammasala Police Station confirmed that preliminary alcohol tests were negative for all drivers involved. However, blood test results are still pending. “The CCTV footage clearly indicates fault,” he said, noting that legal action will follow.
The incident underscores concerns over speeding and reckless driving on Bangkok’s major roads, especially involving high-performance vehicles. Authorities have yet to announce formal charges but stressed that the investigation is ongoing.
