Residents of a housing estate are protesting against false advertising that promised high-quality amenities but delivered a dilapidated clubhouse instead. The situation has garnered attention, with celebrity Tuck Boriboon joining the residents’ protest.
Dr. Monchai Jongkairattanakul, also known as Lawyer Kaew, highlighted the residents’ concerns on the Facebook page Legal Intelligence Monchai Lawyer Social. He explained that the housing estate was marketed with promises of a fully equipped clubhouse, swimming pool, badminton court, and more. However, after the houses were sold, these amenities were left in severe disrepair and became unusable.
“The developers of this estate are incredibly heartless. They advertised the houses with amenities like a clubhouse, swimming pool, badminton court, and more. This was part of the selling point and obligated them to provide these facilities. However, after the houses were sold, they abandoned the amenities,” Dr. Monchai stated.
Dr. Monchai described the clubhouse as looking like a “war zone,” emphasizing its extreme disrepair. He also noted that residents were blocked from using the facilities, which he deemed unacceptable. He pointed out that there are laws and legal precedents supporting the residents’ case and stressed the necessity for immediate action.
To address the issue, Lawyer Kaew and his team held a meeting with the affected residents. Photos accompanying Dr. Monchai’s post showed residents gathered to discuss the situation, including well-known actor Tuck Boriboon Jannreung. Tuck also expressed his support on his own social media page, Tuck Boriboon Family.
“I sincerely thank the residents for standing up and uniting. Thank you, Lawyer Kaew, for helping us,” Tuck wrote.
The residents, supported by Lawyer Kaew and Tuck Boriboon, are determined to hold the developers accountable and seek justice for the false advertising and neglect of promised amenities.
