The Thai government wants to downgrade COVID-19 to endemic status. For this purpose, the national restrictions will be lifted in July.
This news was published in the Royal Gazette on June 23, 2022. It will take effect immediately and will allow all provinces to be reclassified as green zone.
However, masks are still recommended in public places or for people with health problems.
Pubs, bars, and karaoke lounges certified by the Ministry of Public Health with the Thai Stop COVID 2 Plus are also allowed to operate in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and communicable disease control guidelines.
Gatherings will be allowed under 2000 people. However, if the gathering is larger than this, permits are required.
