Prime Minister has issued an order mandating the installation of safety windows and doors in daycares

As a result of the catastrophe in Nong Bua Lamphu, people have started talking about how to keep schools and daycares safer from such occurrences in the future. The Ministry of Education is now working to get safety doors and windows installed in all daycare centers around the country.

The education minister has mandated the installation of safety doors in all publicly funded daycares and preschools, according to Tipanan Sirichana, a deputy spokeswoman for the Prime Minister’s Office. The Vocational Education Commission Office will be responsible for carrying out the sentence.

The prime minister has a policy of aggressively seeking methods to prevent and monitor occurrences at educational institutions, thus this directive was issued in accordance with that. Ms. Tipanan also noted that SOS buttons will be provided so that people can contact the police for assistance.

The need for the SOS system in each province will be determined through collaboration between local vocational institutions, preschools, and private venues. The venues will have the system installed by teachers and students from a vocational school.

According to the deputy spokesman, Nakhon Ratchasima Technical College will test out the prototype system first. The ultimate goal is to include alarms and cameras alongside a comprehensive set of secure glass panels. When an incident occurs, the system will notify the police promptly. There will be a public unveiling of the prototype early next week.

The prime minister is also stressing the need of teaching pupils and teachers how to survive in the event of an emergency. The goal here is obviously to cut down on incident-related deaths as much as possible.
