Thailand BCG Exhibition Open To Public During APEC Economic Leaders’ Week

This week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is conducting the “Thailand BCG Exhibition” at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from now until November 19. This event is taking place concurrently with the talks that are taking place at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meetings.

At the opening ceremony of the Exhibition, the Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, presided over the proceedings. The objective of the event is to raise awareness of the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) concept by highlighting the ways in which both the public and commercial sectors have effectively implemented the BCG economic model.

In addition to this, it focuses on exemplary procedures and provides specific illustrations of the BCG model in operation.

The Thailand BCG Exhibition is divided into three distinct sections. The first discusses the BCG idea and highlights some of its achievements in the fields of agriculture and industry. It also displays a variety of commodities and items that are part of the “BCG Heroes” campaign. 

The second section presents an argument in favor of “Expo 2028 Phuket,” an event that intended to participate in the ongoing discussion on global sustainability. The third and last section presents an overview of the efforts made and achievements made by the private sector in Thailand to advance environmentally responsible business practices.

The BCG model is Thailand’s national strategy, and the overall theme of APEC 2022 will be “Open. Connect. Balance,” which is summed up by these three words. To emphasize the BCG idea as a basic strategy for sustainable and inclusive growth in the Asia-Pacific region, one that addresses problems and strives to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals, is one of the goals that Thailand hopes to accomplish through this statement.
