Due to severe rain on July 31, 2022, flight DD108 on the Don Mueang-Chiang Rai route skidded off the runway as it landed at Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport. Passengers were forced to suufer a long delay before being able to exit the plane.
The pilot was able to successfully land the aircraft and transport all of the passengers and personnel into the terminal without any incidents. Nok Air issued a statement confirming this.
According to a Facebook post about the incident, everyone exited the airplane without being wounded.
As stated by the spokeswoman, customers asked the chief flight attendant to allow them to wait outside the place because they were suffocating. But the representative emphasized that it is against the law to stand on the runway. Additionally, it was raining, but everyone claims they are not frightened of getting wet.
Initially, the passenger remarked that there is bad administration and that everything is very slow, and that there is only one route out. .
Despite the staff’s assurances that a bus was waiting to pick up passengers, after an hour had passed, the vehicle was still moving slowly; as a result, use a slide to let passengers escape.
“The bus just left, and this is coming out to the building. This airliner and its passengers would not have survived if there had been a fire. We are aware that it was an unexpected accident. However, the strategy for handling the passenger evacuation is terrible and moves far too slowly.
